Purpose

The Swift County Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) is dedicated to serve the residents of Swift County. By advocating for fair housing, encouraging rehabilitation of existing housing, new housing construction for low to moderate incomes, promoting economic development, creating community development programs, and overall providing decent safe and affordable housing.

Member Position Overview

The HRA Board of Directors play a crucial role providing a real difference for residents of Swift County, by advocating for fair housing, encouraging rehabilitation of existing housing, new housing construction for low to moderate incomes, promoting economic development, creating community development programs, and overall providing decent safe and affordable housing. There are a total of seven members of the HRA Board, as well as the Executive Director. The HRA Board of Directors has 3 officers: a board chair, a vice chair, and a secretary. Membership is made up of representation from each Commissioner district in Swift County.

Time Considerations

Two (2) five-year terms, not to exceed ten years of continuous service (some special rules apply)

Monthly Board meetings, not to exceed 1.5 hours
Committee meetings as needed
